The service

Finn helps you get better at English with stories to read and listen to. This website presents the app and lets you join the waitlist. Our Instagram account shares short stories read aloud, with a quiz.

Waitlist

Before launch, you can leave your email address so we can let you know when Finn is available. It's free and commits you to nothing. To be removed from the list, write to colpaertmatthias@gmail.com.

Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions to the Finn app are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's terms and conditions apply.
  • The price and terms of each offer are shown in the app before you subscribe.
  • When an offer includes a free trial, nothing is charged during the trial. If you don't cancel before it ends, the subscription starts automatically.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can cancel at any time on your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Finn › Cancel Subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com

Acceptable use

Finn is for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

  • Copy, resell or redistribute the stories, audio or images.
  • Try to get around access restrictions, disrupt the service or access other people's data.
  • Post insulting, hateful or illegal comments, or spam, on our Instagram account. We may hide or delete such comments.

Intellectual property

The name Finn, the mascot, the stories, the audio, the images and the rest of the content are protected and belong to their publisher. Your subscription gives you a personal right to use them in the app, nothing more.

Content for learning

The stories, translations and explanations are provided as is, to help you learn English. We take care over them, but they may contain mistakes, and they do not replace a course or a teacher.

Liability

We do our best to keep Finn available and working well, but we can't guarantee that it will always run without interruptions or errors. Within the limits allowed by French law, we are not liable for indirect damage resulting from the use of Finn. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer.

Personal data

To learn how your data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence. In case of a dispute, please write to us first: we'll look for an amicable solution.
